If you’re looking for an excuse to get out in Kent this summer, the Romney Marsh Ride-In Show returns on June 29th, 2025. And if you park up in the designated show area, you’ll be eligible for £25 cash prizes for the Best Classic (pre-1980) and Best Post Classic bikes.
The show actually takes place in Hamstreet village, just south of Ashford, and not far from the coast if you want to visit a beach before heading home. Or need to bribe the family for a visit. Entry is £5 for adults, £4 for seniors, and free for accompanied under-16s, with gates opening from 10am, last admission at 1.,30pm, and the event closing at 3.30pm depending on the British weather.
There should be a pretty wide range of bikes on show, with last year’s winners being Peter Denyer with his Best Classic 1953 BSA C11 250cc, and Les Cook with the Best Post-Classis Honda CB100N. Club stands are free, and there will also be a variety of traders and autojumble stalls if you need to pick up some tools, parts or more. If you want to declutter your garage this year, you can book a Workshop Clear-out stall for £15, which includes entry for two people.
If you’re looking to buy or sell a bike, then the free BikeMart display-to-sell area is open to anyone who wants to drop off or ride their motorcycle along. Although in the latter case, you might need to organise a lift home. Or at least to Ashford for a train, although I wouldn’t recommend public transport in full race leathers.
The Romney Marsh Ride-In Show returns on June 29th, 2025 at Hamstreet, Kent, TN26 2JD. For more details, advance tickets and club stands, visit the organisers site. And check out other motorcycling events happening through the year, here.
