Power and Secrets: Top Posts on AudiWorld in 2021

‘Tis the season for best of lists, so let’s take a look at some of the most popular stories of the year!

For most of us, life hasn’t gotten quite back to normal. But global turmoil aside, it’s clear that in the history books, 2021 will still go down as a watershed year in the automotive world. For one thing, the already-accelerating industry push toward electric vehicles picked up even more steam — and Audi was at the front of the pack. Not only did Ingolstadt reveal that its engineers had stopped developing internal-combustion engines, it also dropped the news that coming 2026, new Audis will be all-electric.

Fortunately, Audi also enlisted gymkhana legend Ken Block to help develop motorsport-ready electric vehicles. So as far as enthusiasts are concerned? The future looks brighter than ever. That said, the year was also full of nasty engine notes, as tuners all over the world started stoking the RS6 Avant to weapons-grade levels, and we also got to check out magnificent creations like this 1276-horsepower R8. For those keeping score, it’ll do zero to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds and tops out north of 210 mph.

But before we ring in 2022, let’s take a look at some of the most popular stories of the year. There are some great reads in there, so make sure you didn’t miss any!
