If you need to upgrade or replace your current motorcycle helmet and want the latest graphics, the LS2 Thunder helmets gets new designs for 2022 with the Racing 1 and Supra on sale now.
The full carbon crash helmet tops the LS2 range, and doesn’t get overhauled for the new year. So it still features a 100% carbone fibre twill weave shell, which helps to keep the weight down to around 1400 grams while also giving you good protection and dispersing the energy from an impact.
The two new designs for the LS2 Thunder in 2022 are the Racing 1, which is the Blue and White choice, or the Supra, which gives you Red, Blue and White. And while a top-spec carbon fibre helmet is a sizeable investment, all the lids come with a carry bag, Pinlock inset, a replacement dark tint visor (which you’ll only use on track, obviously), a pack of tear-offs, reflective stickers and an inflatable support to hold the helmet safely during cleaning and maintenance. That last item is an unusual touch which might lower the risk of damage when you’re fiddling with your helmet in the back of a van between track day sessions.
The LS2 FF805 Thunder Helmet is available in sizes XS-2XL, with three shell sizes. It costs slightly less in plain Solid Carbon, and the two new designs join the existing High Vis Yellow and Red/White Racing 1 choices in costing £419.99.
